Jim Harbaugh likes his players rough and tough and ready to fight, but even the feisty Harbaugh has his limit. Receiver Anquan Boldin found out what that limit is when he took a swing at teammate Darryl Morris in practice Friday and was told to hit the showers by the head coach.

Matt Maiocco of CSNBayArea.com gave an account of the scuffle and how it was precipitated:

"Boldin caught a short pass from McLeod Bethel-Thompson with Morris in tight coverage. Boldin and Morris got into it, with Boldin delivering a blow to Morris’ facemask. Coach Jim Harbaugh rushed to the scene, and immediately held Boldin accountable for the tussle.Harbaugh ordered Boldin off the field."

Harbaugh let Boldin know who wears that dad pants in that family. It’s Harbaugh. Cause he’s the dad. And the players are all his kids. And if the kids get ornery, dad will come in, wearing his dad pants, and lay down the law.

There are some arm chair coach idiots out there who are mad at Harbaugh right now for not letting his players fight. No idiots, guys fighting in training camp is not a “good sign for the team.” It’s just a sign that one guy got a little irritated and flew off the handle.

Anquan Boldin getting ticked off in practice and swinging on a guy doesn’t mean he’s ready for the season. It means he’s bored. He probably wanted to get kicked out. Dad pants obliged him.
