The MLB Trade Deadline has come and gone and we saw more than a few big names change teams in the transaction frenzy.

More from MLB Trade Rumors

One team that didn’t make any sort of splash was the Philadelphia Phillies, who had a bunch of trade chips but didn’t make any moves.

According to Ken Rosenthal of FOX Sports, the Philadelphia Phillies didn’t trade any of their major pieces before the non-waiver deadline passed but that doesn’t mean they won’t be making any trades before the month is out. Names like Cole Hamels and Marlon Byrd could still clear waivers

Cliff Lee was a name that was supposed to be a hot topic at the waiver deadline at the end of August but his elbow injury that may end his season has derailed that notion. But for names like Hamels, Byrd and others that the Phillies weren’t able to flip at the deadline in July, there is a pretty decent chance that they at least clear waivers and then make the splash that the Phillies were hoping to make at the non-waiver wire.
