A few days ago, Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry came out and suggested that the franchise is likely to go to training camp with their current roster. In sort, it was a suggestion that a Kevin Love trade was not going to happen.

More from Golden State Warriors

The Golden State Warriors were thought to be one of the strongest suitors for Love and seemed to be the favorite at times, assuming they were to include Klay Thompson in the deal. Whether or not they actually were won’t likely be known as some outlets reports that Thompson was off limits while some more local beat reporters hinted that Klay Thompson was offered up and his inclusion was not the reason the deal hit a snag.

Whatever the case may be, it no longer looks as if the Golden State Warriors will be making a franchise altering trade and both Klay Thompson and David Lee, the two most rumored names to be traded, will be returning the the Bay Area.

Of course, after an offseason of constant rumors surrounding your name, you might be a bit frazzled which is something David Aldridge of NBA.com wonders regarding both Thompson and Lee.

"One wonders what the state of mind of Thompson and David Lee will be, having heard their names involved in the Love talks. One also wonders how patient owner Joe Lacob will be with Kerr after having given Jackson little chance to correct perceived errors in communicating with the front office."

It is something to question because every player handles the situation differently. Of course, David Lee isn’t new to trade rumors and Klay Thompson hasn’t shown any verbal frustration over all the noise, so it seems unlikely to phase either player. Still, if somebody stumbles out of the gate to start the season, you know the trade rumors will be to blame.
