Fairly significant MLB players facing Biogenesis suspensions?
By Bryan Rose
When news of Biogenesis founder Tony Bosch’s surrendering to the DEA broke on Tuesday, reports immediately suggested that there were previously unmentioned Major League Baseball players involved in the performance enhancing drug scandal.

However, not long after sources began to suggest that the inclusion of new players was not true and there would not likely be any suspensions stemming from the new charges being placed. Well, that’s not what ESPN’s TJ Quinn is hearing as the veteran scribe expects that there will be some suspensions considering there are a few ‘fairly significant’ players who may be involved.
If you’re wanting to know who is involved specifically however, you may have a wait on your hand as Quinn states it could be weeks or even months before any names are brought to light.
As you’ll likely recall during the first Biogenesis scandal, multiple players faced fines and suspensions from Major League Baseball and some even ended up missing a portion (or all) of their teams playoff games like Nelson Cruz and Jhonny Peralta.
That may be a situation we face again if the names do come out before the end of the regular season.
Quinn was the first to break the story about previously unnamed players being mentioned in the suit and seems to have a head up on what type of information is being passed around, so his commentary seems to have a significant backing behind it.
Assuming it proves to be true, it’s yet another black eye regarding Biogenesis and PED’s for Major League Baseball.
