Hamels was claimed by the Chicago Cubs this week but it appears that no trade or transaction is going to be made. According Paul Sullivan, the Phillies have pulled their ace back off of waivers and will not be dealing with the Cubs or their desire to acquire Hamels.
The Cubs wanted to look at trying to bring Hamels in on a trade after they claimed him but no deal is going to be made.
