For four years there has been a blog called I Want to Go to the Zoo With Roy Halladay. Friday morning, the man behind I Want to Go to the Zoo With Roy Halladay finally went to the zoo with Roy Halladay.

More from MLB

ZWR, as the blogger is known on his About page, posted about the thrill of going to the zoo with Roy Halladay.

"After more than four years, 1,800+ bolg posts, and countless silly indulgences surrendered to in the name of “being ZWR” … I’m incredibly proud to say that at approximately 10:00 a.m. this morning I went to the zoo with Roy Halladay! (Editor’s Note: I’m scheduling this post on Thursday evening since technically I’ll be at the freaking zoo with Roy Halladay on Friday morning when it actually posts, so if he ends up ditching it will be pretty embarrassing so please kindly just disregard this post and pretend it never happened). Seriously, look for photo proof on my Twitter before continuing, for the sake of my dignity."

“Bolg” is a deliberate misspelling, by the way. Like “pron” and “pwned.” Don’t sweat it oldies, it’s a trendy internet thing that you can never grasp.

Obvious question: When the entire purpose of your blog is to get to go to the zoo with Roy Halladay, what do you do when you actually go to the zoo with Roy Halladay?

ZWR asked that very question:

"I’m not sure. Obviously the goal of the site has been met. That said, it has become something quite important to me in terms of a creative outlet and thus far has led to opportunities I could have never imagined, including the kernel of a dream of being able to create sports humor as a career (however slim the chances may be) … so I definitely don’t think I’m going anywhere. The site may slowly change over time, but we’ll have to see. However, I’m at the freaking zoo with Roy Halladay at this exact moment, so I’m kind of feeling like truly anything is possible. Thanks again."

In other news, I have announced the creation of my own new blog, I Want to Go to the Zoo With Jennifer Lawrence.
