The Los Angeles Lakers are normally a hotbed for talent, though this past offseason things didn’t work out that way. Still, even with a sub-par roster, that doesn’t mean fellow NBA players aren’t looking to take their talents to Southern California.

More from Houston Rockets

One such player is current Houston Rockets forward Donatas Motiejunas who has been creating waves all offseason.

If it wasn’t Donatas Motiejunas commenting on the Chandler Parsons situation is was Donatas Motiejunas suggesting that Houston Rockets stars James Harden and Dwight Howard don’t sit with the rest of the team when they eat.

The Houston Rockets power forward eventually came out and suggested that he was just joking around though stated that if he was to leave Houston, he’d like to join the Los Angeles Lakers.

"Q: Where would you like to play if you were to leave the Rockets?A: Most likely in Los Angeles because there are no serious bigs and I would likely get chances to play. I mean the Lakers, not the Clippers."

While the Lakers do have Jordan Hill and Julius Randle, neither is exactly a formitable force in the middle (though Randle could eventually become one), so it’s obvious to see why Motiejunas would like to play for the Lakers organization considering there’s nobody standing in his way.

Of course, it doesn’t appear as if the Rockets have any desire to trade their forward, though he might get a talking to if he keeps creating needless media attention with his off the wall comments.
