LeBron James is ‘very excited’ to play with Kevin Love

Assuming there are no roadblocks that prevent the Minnesota Timberwolves and Cleveland Cavaliers from completing their Kevin Love-Andrew Wiggins trade, in a matter of weeks the former UCLA power forward will call Ohio home.

It’ll be the first time Love and LeBron James have been teammates on an NBA court though the two have previous relationship during their time playing for Team USA. That’s what attracted LeBron James to Kevin Love’s game and why he was so adamant about bringing Love into the fold with the Cleveland Cavaliers.
An overly enthusiastic LeBron James talked about what Kevin Love brings to the court.
“I’m going to be very excited to have him,” James said. “I don’t really care about the 26 (points) and 12 (rebounds). I care about the basketball IQ. His basketball IQ is very, very high. I had an opportunity to spend 32 days with him on the 2012 Olympic team. It’s funny. I always told Kevin Love, `You’re very good, man.’ He always thought I was blowing smoke.
“I always told him he was going to be a reason why we won the gold medal, and he played a huge role for us. So I’m looking forward to it. He’s a great piece.”
Ironically enough, Kevin Love is still a member of the Minnesota Timberwolves so one could technically consider this tampering. It would be silly to do so, but the NBA is overly strict about such and that’s likely why there has been talk about the league squashing the deal.
That’s unlikely to happen, which is good news for LeBron James since he appears over the moon that Kevin Love will be joining his Cleveland Cavaliers.
