While restricted free agents like Eric Bledsoe and Greg Monroe sit available due to their contractual status, most NBA free agents have found a home by now. That can’t be said for big man Andray Blatche who is still without a deal.

More from Miami Heat

That’s not to say some teams haven’t shown interest in signing the lengthy veteran as there were reports that Andray Blatche was set to work out for the Los Angeles Clippers. However, soon as that report leaked Blache’s representation suggested the two sides had not worked out an agreement.

The Los Angeles Clippers aren’t the only franchise looking at Blatche however as the Miami Heat also appeared to have interest, though have apparently backed off.

Why exactly, considering their need for a bench big? Well, concerns over his locker room presence may be why the team has decided to back away.

"Among those still available: Elton Brand, Andray Blatche (Heat has avoided him before because of maturity, behavior issues), Charlie Villanueva, Ryan Hollins, Ekpe Udoh, Byron Mullins, Greg Stiesma and Andrew Bynum (who can’t stay healthy)."

One would likely assume that if the Miami Heat wanted to sign Andray Blatche, they’d have already made such a move so it appears they simply aren’t intrigued with the idea.

In his defense, he has seemingly matured a bit from his days with the Washington Wizards though there were alleged reports of friction between he and the Brooklyn Nets last season which may have resulted in an un-announced suspension by then head coach Jason Kidd.

Whatever the case, it appears that Blatche will have to look for work outside of South Beach and the Miami Heat.
