It goes without saying, but all NFL rosters are not created equal.

Whether it’s due to a coach’s scheme, a player’s skill set, or any of the innumerable variables that make up the sport, maintaining an ideal 53-man active roster is more difficult than imagined.

The task inevitably leads to players being lost in the shuffle, dropping on the depth chart and left to rot on the bench. Chances are, if you actively keep up with the NFL, you’ve said to yourself at some point, “That guy would be so much better off with (insert team name here).” The notion isn’t lost on them, either.

Though they rarely — if ever — speak out publicly, players who aren’t being utilized to their full potential probably wonder, quite often, “what if?”

So, for their sake and yours, I’ve compiled a brief list of NFLers that I’d like to see moved prior to the start of the regular season. It’s worth cautioning that these potential moves are little more than pipe dreams; I don’t expect general managers to heed my advice. But, hey, it’s always fun to pretend, right?
