By Jack Crosby
Thursday is the day that a lot of college football die-hards have waited for, especially those in the south, as it marks the long awaited debut of the SEC Network. For months, everyone has had August 14 on their calendars, and with good reason. However, should you be waking up on Thursday and not seeing the channel live on your TV, have no fear, everything is alright.

While, yes, the official date of the launch is Thursday, the channel itself will not go live until 6 PM ET. So, yes, there still is a little bit more of a wait, however it won’t be much longer until you see all of the SEC action on your television set.
With deals locked up with all the major TV providers across the country, the SEC Network will be available in over 80 million homes once it does go live, proving once again the worth of major college football. Sure, there will be other sports showcased throughout the year, but, let’s be honest, college football is the reason everyone will mainly be tuning in.
So, again, if you do not see the SEC Network on your TV right now, don’t freak out. Don’t call your provider. Don’t blame Lane Kiffin.
You will have the channel live very, very shortly.
