The ALS Ice Bucket challenge is one of the cooler things infiltrating the sports world right now. Athletes and coaches are challenging one another to dump a bucket of ice water on their heads to raise awareness for ALS.

Even with this all being done for a great cause, the ALS Ice Bucket challenge has been unable to temporarily halt the rivalry of Seattle Seahawks coach Pete Carroll and San Francisco 49ers coach Jim Harbaugh. (The two have gotten into a war of words plenty of times over the years and it’s clear they dislike one another.)

Carroll initially took part in the challenge and then called out his fellow NFC West coaches to do it.

After Jeff Fisher and Bruce Arians participated, Carroll sent out another Tweet with a subtle jab at Harbaugh.

It would appear Harbaugh is aware of Carroll’s Twitter-snipe, as the Niners’ coach has refused Carroll’s challenge.

However, this doesn’t mean Harbaugh won’t be participating. He’s opted to accept Baltimore Ravens head coach and his brother John Harbaugh’s challenge.

It’s a bit of a shame that Carroll and Harbaugh couldn’t put aside their differences for this, but at least both will ultimately have taken part in the challenge.
