Paul George nearly snapped his leg off in a team USA scrimmage at the beginning of the month, and now there is already talk of him coming back this season to play for the Pacers.

Granted, the injury has happened early enough before the season for discussions of George coming back to not be completely crazy, but the fact of the matter is, he’s nowhere near returning and the idea he could play this season is crazy.
Don’t tell that to George though, as he believes there’s a chance he can come back and he’s clinging to that hope as he prepares to rehab his leg.
George returning this season isn’t likely to happen, especially considering the fact that he has a rod in his leg and isn’t going to be of much use until he can rehab himself back to where he used to be — if he ever can again.
The bottom line is that we’re going to see a different Paul George when he takes the court again, but that’s likely to happen in 2015 as a return this season is one of the more unlikely scenarios in basketball.
