Ray Allen’s wife and children were sleeping on Thursday when a group of young adults walked in Allen’s Coral Gables home through an unlocked door Thursday.

According to the Sun Sentinel, Allen’s wife was woken up around 2:30 a.m. and yelled at the six men and woman between the ages of 18 and 19 who were making their way up the stairs, “What are you doing in my house?” She could then hear the trespassers running away as she scared them off.

The perpetrators were reportedly attending a party next door when they were curious about Allen’s house and wanted to see look inside because they thought no one was home. Police then found them about two miles away in another home and interviewed them where the teens said they were only curious.

The police have not yet charged those who broke in but it will be up to the State Attorney’s office if Allen’s wife chooses to press charges against the young adults that broke into her home according to the Sun Sentinel.

Ray Allen, 38, is currently a free agent that has not yet decided if he will play in 2014 or not. Allen averaged just 9.6 points per game in his second season with the Miami Heat and 18th season in the NBA last year. The Cleveland Cavaliers have showed interest in him.
