The Indiana Pacers already had one player change his jersey number and it looks like another is going to be doing the same thing.

More from Indiana Pacers

Now that Solomon Hill will be featured in a more prominent role this upcoming season, he’s switching up his uniform number to bring back old memories from who he was and what type pf player he was in college.

According to Pacers beat writer Scott Agness, Hill will be changing his number from No. 9 back to No. 44, which is the uniform number he wore during his college days at the University of Arizona.

Hill is going to be featured rather prominently in the Pacers offense this year after the team lost both Lance Stephenson and Paul George, leaving Hill has a major offensive weapon by default.

But he’s still a solid player, and by changing his number back to what it was at the University of Arizona, it’s clear that Hill is getting back in touch with his roots in an attempt to start over and become a new player he should have been before.
