The FIFA World Cup has come and gone, but there is still more World Cup action to be had. Team USA has assembled in Las Vegas to try and win the FIBA World Cup of Basketball and that’s a journey that starts on Saturday night when the American’s travel to play Brazil in an exhibition match to fine tune the squad.
The rosters have been set for Team USA but the lingering effects of the Paul George injury will be a hot topic as the squad plays it’s first game against someone other than themselves prior to the World Cup tipping off. The Brazilians aren’t a team to be taken lightly either, as they’re a force in the world of basketball and tout some serious talent.
That being said, this will be a nice test to see if Team USA can battle through the loss of not only George but of Kevin Durant, Kevin Love and Blake Griffin, who all dropped out prior to the rosters being set.
