Veteran defensive lineman Brett Keisel could be the latest NFL player to continue the pipeline from the Pittsburgh Steelers to Arizona Cardinals.

More from Arizona Cardinals

On Monday, the Cardinals watched one of the team’s leaders and most experienced players, Darnell Dockett, go down for the season with a torn ACL.

Keisel would bring some veteran leadership and experience that the team lose, and a number of the Cardinals current coaching staff are familiar with Keisel from his time with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

According to reports, Keisel is taking a big step towards joining the Cardinals and it will all begin with a visit on Tuesday.

From Arizona Cardinals beat writer Kent Somers:

The Pittsburgh Steelers were reportedly still considering the idea of bringing Keisel back, but the Cardinals beat them to the punch after the injury to Dockett left them without much of a choice.
