One player that the Heat have been linked to is guard Leandro Barbosa and there appears to be mutual interest between the two sides when it comes to a deal.
According to Ira Winderman of the Sun Sentinel, the Heat indeed have mutual interest in Barbosa but he’s not the only name that they’re considering at the moment.
"A source familiar with the situation said Barbosa is on the Heat’s radar, but is one of several veterans the Heat are considering, with no signing imminent. The Heat have only the veteran minimum to offer any free agent."
Miami needs to find as many tools as they can to make their team as good as it can be without LeBron James and finding shooting guard depth is still a need. Barbosa very well could fill that need and he may end up being the guy Miami goes with as the veteran minimum isn’t much to offer but ti come play in Miami and potentially go on a title run the deal will seem a lot sweeter to veterans like Barbosa.
