The Oklahoma City Thunder are one of the best teams in the NBA but they rather consistently miss the NBA Finals or miss their chance at winning a title.

That means that each year the team is subject to trade rumors as they have pieces that other teams want and need to fortify their roster in areas they aren’t at the moment. One player who has been the subject of trade rumors is Kendrick Perkins, but there’s little chance that he’s moved this season.

According to Darnell Mayberry from The Oklahoman, it’s unlikely that the Thunder trade Perkins this season

"I can’t see the Thunder trading him. He’s too useful defensively in the postseason. It’s not worth trading him, in my opinion, unless of course something too good to pass up comes along."

There’s still a minor chance that something might happen, but the bottom line is that while Perkins is a frustrating player at times, he is someone that the Thunder need as when he’s firing on all cylinders, he’s one of the best players on the roster.
