The Philadelphia 76ers have been involved in quite a few transactions over the last few years and haven’t given any reason to believe they won’t continue.

More from Cleveland Cavaliers

That’s likely why the 76ers are reportedly going to be involving the the Kevin Love trade between the Cleveland Cavaliers and Minnesota Timberwolves.

The Timberwolves are sending Love to the Cavaliers for swingman Andrew Wiggins, forward Anthony Bennett and a future pick. There has been talk that Bennett will actually be going to the 76ers with forward Thaddeus Young returning to the Timberwolves.

Jerry Zgoda of The Minneapolis Star Tribune told his followers not to believe Bennett is heading to the 76ers and Young is on his way to the Timberwolves.

With a young talent like Wiggins, it may make more sense for the Timberwolves to keep Bennett. Although Young is a solid veteran, Bennett may have a higher ceiling, is younger and has more room to grow. However, according to a few reports, the Timberwolves seem to have a fantasy they can be a playoff team even after trading Love, which is why many believe they prefer Young to Bennett.

Young went for 17.9 points, 6.0 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 2.1 steals per game and shot 45.4% from the field, 30.8% from beyond the arc and 71.2% from the free throw line this season. Bennett averaged 4.2 points and 3.0 rebounds per game while shooting 35.6% from the field, 24.5% from beyond the arc and 63.8% from the free throw line.
