In the coming days, Eminem will hit up Comerica Park, home to the Detroit Tigers where he’ll play two shows in his beloved hometown.

More from Detroit Tigers

Needless to say, anticipation for Eminem’s The Monster Tour with Rihanna is at an all-time high and it’s not just from local fans either. It appears the Detroit Tigers are equally excited as they gave the rapper his own custom jersey complete with a backwards ‘E’ on the nameplate.

In addition to Em’s famed reversed ‘E’ the Detroit Tigers also had a Monster Tour jersey patch placed on the arm and placed the number eight on the back, an ode to the famed ‘8 Mile’ trailer park Slim Shady grew up in.

This of course isn’t the first time that Eminem has performed a massive show in Motown, but this will be his biggest stage, especially given he’ll be hitting the stage on two nights with Rihanna.

Can you imagine if the Detroit Tigers started filling up their team store with a replica of this jersey? Maybe they’re already planning on such and will have them available, though I’d venture to guess they’d sell out extremely fast.

For what its worth, you can go to the Detroit Tigers website and successful create your own ‘Mathers’ jersey with a number eight, though the reversed letter really makes it and you unfortunately can’t do that. Still, possibly better than nothing, especially if they don’t plan to place this jersey on sale.

Update: A local CBS affiliate in Detroit says the jersey will be placed on sale, though provided little other information.
