During the go home WWE RAW show prior to SummerSlam last week, there was a birthday celebration for the legendary Hulk Hogan. However, just when things seemed to be going all well and good, the festivities were interrupted by the man who would become WWE Champion just a few days later, Brock Lesnar, who proceeded to tell Hogan, “Party’s over, grandpa!”

Well, now it seems as if Lesnar went into business for himself in making that comment, and now Hogan is pretty peeved.

WrestleZone is reporting that TMZ believes that the comment was not part of the script for the segment.

"It remains unknown whether or not Hogan’s comments were a work or shoot, but TMZ is reporting Lesnar’s “Grandpa” comment to Hogan on Raw, during Hogan’s birthday celebration segment, was not scripted. It was something Lesnar made up, possibly with the help of Paul Heyman."

It doesn’t matter if it was from Lesnar directly, or if he had help from Heyman. The fact of the matter is that it was perfect for the situation, and Hogan should not be upset about it.

In case you missed it, Hogan was a bit rattled by the words, and even issued a warning to the Beast Incarnate.

"“All I gotta say is Brock, I haven’t done anything to get in your way but if you keep throwing my name around I’m gonna get in your way.You can’t say that stuff like you said Brock, in front of my wife and kids. It’s not cool brother. I know this is all entertainment. You know we’re supposed to have fun with it but when he starts throwing my name around, with my wife and my kids, it’s crossing the line.”"

It’s tough to tell whether or not all of this is a work or a shoot. But if Hogan is upset, considering how long he has been around the wrestling business, that’s a little ridiculous.
