New York Jets quarterback Matt Simms entertained the crowd at MetLife Stadium on Friday night, following an 11-yard touchdown pass to wide receiver Greg Salas that put the Jets ahead of the New York Giants, 24-21, in the fourth quarter.

More from New York Giants

It wasn’t the touchdown pass that brought a smile to everyone’s face, but the way that Simms celebrated.

Simms decided to take a page out of the book of New York Giants wide receiver Victor Cruz and celebrated his touchdown pass with a little attempt at Cruz’s signature salsa dance.

Not only was social media buzzing and having a good time making fun of Simms’ poor dance moves, but referee John Parry watching Simms just hung his head and chuckled at the celebratory salsa dance.

Simms still has some work to do with that salsa routine, but he gets an A for effort.

You do have to question what Victor Cruz was thinking if he saw Simms doing the signature salsa dance celebration, because he has been a bit upset and felt disrespected when players have mocked the dance in the past.
