Joel Embiid tells Andrew Wiggins he’ll be okay by comparing him to Kobe Bryant
By Jack Crosby
On Saturday morning the biggest trade of the NBA summer season became official. Among this trade, Andrew Wiggins, the most recent no. 1 overall pick, will be playing for the Minnesota Timberwolves rather than the team that selected him, the Cleveland Cavaliers. The Cavs opted for the services of Kevin Love instead.

Well Wiggins’ former Kansas teammate, Joel Embiid, wanted to send him a message on Saturday letting him know that everything will be just fine. Of course, he did so on his twitter account. And of course, as with everything else that he does on social media, it was hilarious.
Embiid wanted to let Wiggins know that he might be just talented enough to become a star, much like someone else that never ended up playing for the team that drafted him originally, Kobe Bryant.
Seriously, go search twitter and find someone that is wittier than Embiid. Chances are, you probably can’t. Embiid will more than likely not play this season for the 76ers after they drafted him two picks after Wiggins at no. 3 overall, but he’s found the best way to pass the time.
But, while hilarious, there are some that believe Embiid could be correct. What do you think? Even though he’s not playing with LeBron James in Cleveland, will Wiggins become as big of a star for the Wolves as Bryant has become for the Lakers? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
