The Orlando Magic are currently in stockpiling mode and they’ve certainly amassed themselves with a significant amount of young talent.

More from NBA

Of course, doing such often results in a few sub-par seasons and that’s something the Orlando Magic and their fans are currently experiencing. However, do things correctly and those painful few years are worth the wins that eventually come, something that Jabari Davis expects to happen in the Magic Kingdom.

"Sooner or later, Orlando is going to piece together all of those young athletes and turn that group into something nice. Offense (shooting in particular) may be a challenge while the young players continue to transition and develop at this level, but that’s a group that should be able to defend, pressure and will look to push tempo early and often."

Amassing a collection of young talent isn’t always a successful plan, especially if you don’t nab yourself a franchise talent in the process. Do the Orlando Magic have that currently? It may be too early to tell, though they certainly have some pieces who could potentially morph into such like Victor Oladipo, Aaron Gordon and Elfrid Payton.

For now though they’ll continue to struggle as they acclimate themselves into the NBA, but there’s no doubt the Orlando Magic have one of the most impressive young rosters in the league. That also gives them the ability to possibly trade some of their young stars eventually for a more established talent, much like the Cleveland Cavaliers who traded some of their youth for Kevin Love.
