The Arizona Cardinals offense is not looking favorable so far on Sunday night during their third preseason game of the season against the Cincinnati Bengals. In particular, Carson Palmer has not played all that well, and veteran cornerback Terence Newman really helped bring that to light early on in the game.

More from Arizona Cardinals

On the team’s first possession, Palmer just looked off, overshooting his receivers, including Michael Floyd as he was wide open down the sidelines for what would have been an easy touchdown.

Well just when you thought things couldn’t get any worse, the second possession of the game for the Cardinals ended with Palmer tossing a ball directly in Newman’s direction, who then proceeded to take it back 53 yards to the house.

Most of you probably didn’t think Newman still had that in him, did you? Well he does, as was clearly evidenced with the play shown above in the first quarter of tonight’s game.

The story here, though, really is the poor start to the game for Palmer, who has not had the best track record with consistency throughout his NFL career. Hopefully, for their sake, he can get it together for the duration of this one on Sunday night.
