While the Miami Heat may have decided to move on from small forward Michael Beasley, that doesn’t mean he’s void of any suitors.

More from Indiana Pacers

Earlier this offseason the Los Angeles Lakers, who are in desperate need of a small forward, worked Michael Beasley out and both sides were said to be happy with the results. However, no contract was offered at the time and that’s believed to be because Beasley is seeking more money than the Lakers are willing to offer.

Likely only offering a non-guaranteed deal, Michael Beasley is said to be seeking more financial security and it’s possible he may get it as according to Basketball Insiders he’s not only focused but also in great shape.

"Sources close to Beasley say he has been as focused as ever this offseason and is in great shape, so it will be interesting to see if another team will take a real chance on Beasley."

Nothing short of a bust considering his elevated draft stock, Michael Beasley had struggled to find a home during his tenure in the NBA and is aware of the fact that his opportunities are coming to an end. If he continues to struggle no team is going to invest in his talent, thus why he is taking things so seriously this go around.

You may recall, last season it was reported that LeBron James, Beasley’s Miami Heat teammate became frustrated with his lack of focus which has been a problem for Beasley in the past.

Hopefully a renewed desire to better himself will help Michael Beasley become a more stable and consistent player.

In addition to the Lakers, the Indiana Pacers are also said to have interest in the forward.
