The Baltimore Ravens have announced the signing of veteran cornerback Derek Cox. To make room for Cox they have waived undrafted rookie wide receiver Jace Davis.
The Ravens are thing at cornerback right now with Lardarius Webb (back), Jimmy Smith (chest) and Asa Jackson (ankle) all suffering from injuries. They need Cox to bolster their secondary, and he got a one-year deal reportedly worth $755,000 with a salary-cap figure below the veteran minimum.

Cox comes to the Ravens on a bit of a roller coaster career as of late. The San Diego Chargers cut him one year into a four-year, $20 million deal. He was picked up by the Minnesota Vikings but has already seen his tenure there come to an end.
