Adrian Peterson says he never told Dallas Cowboys he wants to play for them
By Josh Hill
The Dallas Cowboys have been rumored to be after Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson thanks to his roots in Texas and his need for a team that wants to win. So far it sounds like the Minnesota Vikings are at least trying to win, but the Cowboys are much more Super Bowl ready.

Something else that is fueling these rumors is a supposed conversation that Peterson had with cowboys owner Jerry Jones. In that conversation, Peterson apparently told the Cowboys he wants to play for them when his time with the Vikings ends. That sparked rumors that Peterson wants to leave the Vikings for Dallas which the running back clarified isn’t the case.
Peterson will likely eventually leave the Vikings if they continue to lose, but so far he’s not shown too much of an urgency to leave the team. There has been talk of the Vikings possible cutting Peterson after the season to make cap space, but should the team rebound in 2014, Peterson’s tenure with the Vikings will more than likely continue long into the future.
