If you watch the Atlanta Hawks this season, you might see a different logo at center court.

More from Atlanta Hawks

Since the 2007-2008 season, Atlanta has run with their current logo, a soaring hawk grasping a basketball with its talons as the graphic at center court. And while it’s slightly dated, it’s still one of the better images in the NBA. However, it could be replaced this season as the franchise may have decided to revert to their history and may place their famed ‘Pac Man’ logo at center court.

An image from the upcoming video game ‘NBA Live 15’ showed off the new look and it’s rather impressive.

The image comes courtesy of a screenshot for the upcoming game in which you can see the ‘new’ logo.

Now, if this look familiar, that’s because it is. The Atlanta Hawks used the ‘Pac Man’ logo for over two decades, beginning in 1972 and eventually coming to an end in 1994.

There has been no solid confirmation from the Atlanta Hawks to suggest they will use this court at all times or if it will be something only used during a Hardwood Classics night, though the fact that it’s in the game is a suggestion we might see it at some point this year.

You can also see in the above graphic the Atlanta Hawks aren’t abandoning their current look/logo, so this could very well just be an additional logo they’re putting in their current arsenal.
