We have all heard of Babe Ruth‘s famous called shot. How about Greg Amsinger’s called shot? Who is Greg Amsinger, you may ask? He is one of the hosts of MLB Network’s MLB Tonight, which offers analysis and watches live games in progress. It’s like porn for baseball geeks.

More from MLB

MLB Tonight happened to be looking in on the Giants-Rockies game last night with Giants first baseman Buster Posey at the plate. Seconds after Amisinger mused that Posey was going to hit a walk off, he did just that.

And the crowd went wild. In the MLB Network studio, of course. Harold Reynolds and Cliff Floyd allowed Amsinger his moment, giving high fives and watching his hilarious celebration.

What would you do if you called a walk-off home run? 99 percent of us will never get a chance to hit one, but Amsinger did the next best thing. He willed someone to hit one.

At least that’s what you would think from the celebration.

Posey’s home run off of Juan Nicasio in the bottom of the ninth inning snapped a 2-2 tie, and sent the Giants and their fans home happy.

As for Amsinger, I’m sure he went home happy as well. He may never live this down. Not that he would want to.
