Nebraska head coach Bo Pelini goes on rant against marijuana
By Dan Zinski
Society has a bad case of Reefer Madness according to Nebraska head coach Bo Pelini, and it’s about time something was done to stop this menacing scourge that is ruining the lives of the young.

Appearing in front of a crowd of 250 people at the Big Red Breakfast Friday morning, Pelini went on an absolute tirade against the evils of marijuana according to the Omaha World-Herald:
"“Let’s face it, it’s not OK,” Pelini said. “I think everybody that’s our age, my age, hopefully understands that it’s not OK. It’s not good. It’s not good for you. And these kids do it on a daily basis and a yearly basis … and it’s a real problem out there.“Fortunately for us it is not (an issue) in our program. But I can tell you around college football and college athletics … serious in college. I guarantee you walk into dorms nowadays and it is a horrible problem.”"
Pelini wasn’t done ranting about the plague of marijuana use among the youths.
"“I think it’s something in society we need to get fixed, but unfortunately they get bad information,” he said."
The push to legalize marijuana in the United States appears to be gaining steam as more and more people wake up to the hypocrisy of allowing and even encouraging alcohol use while prohibiting the smoking of a natural herb, but not everyone is sold.
Bo Pelini is one guy who believes that marijuana should remain a prohibited substance, for the good of the children and society at large. But I’m guessing Bo still enjoys a little shot of scotch now and then.
Whatever Bo.
