It seems that Matt Schaub is the starter the team will be rolling with but injuries could change that. Head coach Dennis Allen isn’t naming a starter just yet as the status of Schaub for Week 1 is still unknown.
According to Jerry McDonald, the Raiders will not be naming their starter for Week 1 until more is known about Schaub’s physical ability following minor elbow issues that Schaub was having this preseason.
Quarterback problems and controversies seem to be common place in Oakland. You never known who is going to be starting from week to week and despite the best efforts being made to change that, the problem remains.
Schaub will more than likely be the starter but if he can’t go then the quarterback carousel will begin for the umpteenth season in Oakland.
