The Los Angeles Clippers have two open roster spots that they can fill before the season starts and apparently they’re interested in seeing if Ray Allen wants to play in 2014-15.
But while Allen is a serious option for the Clippers this summer, he’s not the only veteran the team is going to pursue. It’s not a deep market for veterans at this point but there are solid options to be had if the Clippers look hard enough.
According to Arash Markazi from ESPN Los Angeles, the Clippers will be auditioning more than just Allen over the next few weeks.
The Clippers have 11 players under contract, two under the league minimum. They will be bringing in veterans for workouts.

The Clippers signing Allen is a big threat to the hope that the Cavaliers have that Allen will be headed to north Ohio this summer. For the record, Allen hasn’t even decided if he’s going to play in the NBA next year or if he’s going to retire, which is a kink in everyone’s plan to sign him.
