It is the final cut down day in the NFL and teams are cutting players to get down to the final 53 man rosters they’ll carry into the season. The Cincinnati Bengals have made a move with quarterback AJ McCarron, who had a remarkable career at Alabama.
The Bengals moved McCarron to the reserve/non-football injury list. Like the physically unable to perform list, it will keep McCarron out for the first six weeks of the season. That necessarily isn’t an issue for the Bengals, who have Andy Dalton under center as the franchise quarterback anyways.
