San Francisco 49ers announce final cuts

The 4 p.m. ET deadline has passed for teams around the NFL to name their 53-man rosters for the start of the regular season, and the San Francisco 49ers have announced the roster moves that they have made in order to finalize their roster.

Among the most notable names who were released by San Francisco are offensive linemen Adam Snyder, linebacker Shayne Skov and former Olympic discus thrower/rugby player/defensive lineman Lawrence Okoye.
The full list of cuts for San Francisco are as follows:
"OT Carter Bykowski, TE Asante Cleveland, WR Lance Lewis, LS Kevin McDermott, CB Darryl Morris, G Al Netter, DL Lawrence Okoye, WR Kassim Osgood, OT Michael Philipp, NT Mike Purcell, G Ryan Seymour, LB Shayne Skov, RB Alfonso Smith, G Adam Snyder, S C.J. Spillman, LB Chase Thomas, S Bubba Ventrone, WR L’Damian Washington and RB Glenn Winston."
San Francisco also placed cornerback Kenneth Acker and fullback Will Tukuafu to free up two additional roster spots.
