Rather than make a big move this offseason, the Golden State Warriors decided to keep their core together. That means they will have to improve internally if they want to climb the ladder in the Western Conference.

More from Golden State Warriors

Jabari Davis of Basketball Insiders believes the Warriors need to get into the paint more next season.

"The Spurs are really a bit of an outlier in many cases due to how efficient they are. While boring to some, their precision is still something to marvel over for those of us admitted BBALL nerds. I do feel the Warriors could stand to utilize more balance offensively. They don’t get to the line as much because they tend to shoot a lot of long jumpers and three point shots. Not only could they use a healthy Bogut/Lee throughout the season, but they could really use more slashing opportunities for Iguodala/Barnes/Klay. The more pressure you can apply by getting into the teeth of the defense, the tougher it is for them to stay out of foul trouble. I did notice Curry getting into the paint a bit more often last season, but they need even more of that from him as well. He’s actually a much better playmaker than many gave him credit for being throughout his first few seasons."

Of course, the Warriors will only go as far as the Splash Brothers take them.

Curry put up 24.0 points, 8.5 assists, 4.3 rebounds and 1.6 steals per game while shooting 47.1% from the floor, 42.4% from beyond the arc and 88.5% from the free throw line last season. Thompson averaged 18.4 points, 3.1 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game while shooting 44.4% from the field, 41.7% from beyond the arc and 79.5% from the charity stripe.
