Josh Gordon is suspended for the entire 2014 NFL season but according to Profootballtalk.com he could be making a decision on his future in the next two days. PFT warns, “don’t be shocked if he sues”.

Gordon has been at the center of fan outcries after his appeal to have his suspension lifted due to problems with a urine sentence was met with a denial. The fact that he was given a year long suspension for his third off-field issue was compounded by the two game suspension handed to running back Ray Lewis after he knocked his then fiancé’ out in a Las Vegas elevator. Should Gordon decide to pursue legal action, Profootballtalk.com is saying that any lawsuit would include a request to block the suspension allowing him to play until the case is completed.

Should Gordon opt for a lawsuit against the NFL it could open more opportunities for other players in the future to attempt the same thing. The NFL has taken a very hard stand on off-field issues especially those that involve the use of drugs, most notably marijuana. How a lawsuit will impact the NFL’s suspension and discipline policies is unknown but the Ray Rice incident has already forced a change for the sport making domestic abuse crimes more punishable.
