With most believing Portland Trail Blazers’ LaMarcus Aldridge will almost certainly re-sign with the Blazers following the 2014-2015, largely in part because of his running mate, point guard Damian Lillard, and with power forward Kevin Love almost assuredly re-signing with the Cleveland Cavaliers, Memphis Grizzlies’ center Marc Gasol could be the top free agent on the market in 2015.

More from Memphis Grizzlies

There are plenty of teams who would love to get their hands on Gasol, the 2012-2013 Defensive Player of the Year.

According to Chuck Myron of Hoops Rumors, the Grizzlies could consider dealing Gasol but he believes Gasol doesn’t want to go anywhere.

"Marc Gasol hasn’t garnered a lot of attention even though he can be a free agent next summer, but if the Grizzlies have a slow start, I can imagine the rumors starting up about him. Still, he has longstanding connections to Memphis, so I don’t think he wants to leave, and the Grizzlies seem to want to keep him and their core of their team around."

Considering the Grizzlies extended power forward Zach Randolph this offseason, they clearly want to attempt to be legitimate contender and will likely do what they can to keep Gasol.

Gasol put up 14.6 points, 7.2 rebounds, 3.6 assists, 1.3 blocks and 1.0 steals per game while shooting 47.3% from the field, 18.2% from beyond the arc and 76.8% from the free throw line in 59 games last season. In his career, he’s averaged 13.5 points, 7.9 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 1.5 blocks per game while shooting 51.2% from the field, 15.2% from beyond the arc and 74.9% from the free throw line.
