MLB: 10 September call ups to watch

Rosters expanded last week, and though there are some top prospects who won’t be getting the call, such as Kris Bryant of the Chicago Cubs, Julio Urias of the Los Angeles Dodgers, and Francisco Lindor of the Cleveland Indians. However, there are certainly some intriguing names among the call ups this September, from blue chip prospects to guys getting a chance to show they can contribute in 2015, and others who are simply called up to provide a team in the hunt a boost in a luxury area of the game, such as a speedy pinch runner, or a guy with power who can be called upon for a pinch-hit home run.

Some of the most fascinating prospects have already had their feet wet in the majors this year, including Javier Baez of the Cubs, Oscar Taveras of the St. Louis Cardinals, and James Paxton of the Seattle Mariners. This list isn’t exclusive to rookies, and players might appear who have been called up previously this season. But all of the following 10 players were added to their team’s roster after the September expansion, which is really the only criteria of this list. The MLB future of some of these players is bright, while for others, the future might be murkier. Either way, here are 10 September call ups who you shouldn’t ignore.
