USC Trojans Athletic Director Pat Haden found himself on the wrong side of the college football news from over the weekend and landed himself in a bit of hot water when he came down to the field on behalf of his school and had some discussions with the officials. Given his status as a member of the College Football Playoff Committee, this was not a good look.

For this act, the Pac-12 Conference fined Haden $25,000, a pretty fair punishment, considering the transgression in this case.
Well on Monday, Haden took to his twitter account and formally accepted the fine, however he has a condition that you really can’t argue with all that much.
Haden has agreed to pay the fine, but because this is something that hits close to home for him, he requests that the conference donate the money to Los Angeles Autism research.
I accept the @pac12 reprimand. I plan to pay the fine personally. To honor my 5-yr-old grandson who has autism, I have a special request...

...I will request the @pac12 forward the fine to Children's Hospital Los Angeles for autism research. #Autism #FightOn

Again, you can’t argue with the request, and you would think that the conference would oblige this for Haden. But now we’re in a situation where if they don’t, for whatever reason, go ahead with this, then there might be some backlash.
