Ex-FBI director to investigate Ray Rice, NFL situation
By Jack Crosby
It has been a long few days for former Baltimore Ravens running back Ray Rice, the NFL and commissioner Roger Goodell, and it seems as if matters are about to escalate further some time down the road, as Goodell has announced on Wednesday that ex-FBI director Robert Mueller III will conduct an investigation into all of the developments.
Lately, Goodell has been in just about as much hot water as Rice has for his handling of the situation involving the former Baltimore back being caught on tape punching out his then-fiancee, Janay. The tape came out on Monday, and when it did, Goodell immediately denied that he or anyone else in the NFL office had seen it.

Well that story was turned upside down on Wednesday with the AP report that law enforcement not only mailed the tape to the NFL, but they later called to confirm that the tape had arrived. Not only that, but they saved the recording of the conversation, basically making the comments from Goodell null and void.
This situation just keeps getting worse as time goes on, it seems, but hopefully some things will be rectified soon enough with this investigation. Hopefully we can finally get to the bottom of everything that has gone on with this over the past few months.
