Jacksonville Jaguars vs. Washington Redskins
Chad Henne and the Jacksonville Jaguars put quite the scare into the Philadelphia Eagles in week 1. They eventually lost their opening game of the 2014 season, however, something they have in common with Robert Griffin III and the Washington Redskins. Both teams will try to even their records at 1-1 in this week 2 showdown at FedEx Field.

Keys to Victory
The Jaguars are trying to prove that they are no longer the cellar-dwellers in the AFC South. They showed the capability to score points in the air in week 1, with Henne finding fantasy football waiver-wire sensation Allen Hurns for two touchdowns. They melted down in the second half, however, with the defense blowing coverages and lowering the floodgates for what was ultimately an ugly loss to the Eagles.
Can Jacksonville’s punchy offense score enough to put the Redskins behind early? It is certainly possible with Washington’s lackluster defense. As for the Washington offense under new head coach Jay Gruden, they were able to move the ball against the Houston Texans but were undone by costly turnovers and J.J. Watt. Over the course of the season, Robert Griffin III will have to prove that he can make throws from the pocket. He might not be forced to prove it in this game, however, if Washington is able to get their ground game rolling early.
Look for this one to come down to which offense can establish themselves, with the rhythm of the Washington offense especially important to watch; if RGIII and company get things rolling, they simply have too many weapons on that side of the ball and will be in position to earn their first win.

Prediction
Both of these teams were a mess in week 1, but the Washington offense will be able to get things on track at home and win this game. This is going to be an up and down season for RGIII, but look for this to be a bounce-back effort and one of his good games this season. It will be close and Jacksonville will be able to keep it competitive, but Washington will win because they have better players on offense and home field advantage.
Final Score: Redskins 27, Jaguars 21
