Seattle Seahawks and the NFL teams with the best home-field advantage

The NFL season kicked off last week as 32 teams begin their season that they ultimately hope will end with them earning home-field advantage for the postseason where they can play in front of their home fans en route to the Super Bowl.

Home-field advantage does not guarantee a Super Bowl or playoff success, but it sure does help. It was the Seattle Seahawks who won the Super Bowl last season in large part because of their fans in CenturyLink Field affectionately known as the 12th man who have a record for being the loudest in the NFL and presenting an inhospitable environment for the opponent.

A lot goes into a dominating home-field advantage from the layout of the stadium to the location to seating capacity to  noise, attendance and their performances away from the friendly confines. All of those factors were considered in this list of the top five home field advantages in the league.
