St. Louis Rams schedule MRI for Tavon Auston on Monday
By Josh Hill
This weekend in the NFL was supposed to be a weekend where the games made us forget about problems in the league but the rash of injuries to just about everyone who played further dampened the dark mood of the week that proceeded it. From Robert Griffin III dislocating his ankle to Knowshon Moreno’s elbow bending the wrong way and Gerald McCoy breaking his hand, this weekend’s slate of games will be defined by the injuries that occurred and the players they happened to.

For the St. Louis Rams, a week after losing Chris Long to an injury, the team is awaiting MRI results on wide receiver Tavon Austin to see just how much time he might miss.
"According to Jim Thomas of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, Austin will have an MRI on Monday. Thomas also reports that Austin, who exited the game with no catches and two rushing attempts for 21 yards, wanted to play after the lightning delay in Tampa, but that his knee stiffened up."
It’s hard to say why all of these injuries keep happening but the bottom line is that it was just a bad week for the NFL in general. The injuries, the nasty abuse cases that preceded them on an entirely different level and the deactivation that resulted, Week 2 in the NFL might be the most painful week in league history.
