The Adrian Peterson saga continues to get sadder and sadder as the national debate over how much discipline is too much has boiled over thanks to the Vikings MVP.

More from Minnesota Vikings

But Peterson is no ones MVP right now as he’s on a paid suspension of sort after Minnesota put him on the exempt list early Wednesday morning. That means Peterson cannot have any association with the Vikings until his legal matters get taken care of.

The Star Tribune very openly and honestly pondered in their Thursday headline if Peterson going on the exempt list is the last time we will ever see him play for the Vikings.

Unlike most troll headlines, this one is pretty damn depressing as it signals the true gravity of the abuse and violence situation the NFL has off the field. Many believe that Peterson didn’t do anything wrong and that everyone is being a bunch of hippies about child discipline, but there’s a difference between discipline and child abuse and Peterson has seemingly crossed it and is now paying for it in every way.
