WWE Night of Champions results: Randy Orton defeats Chris Jericho (GIF)

Chris Jericho vs Randy Orton

Jericho was out first for this one with his light bright jacket, followed by the Viper himself, Randy Orton. Remember that this could be Jericho’s last match in the company for a while, as he could be leaving after tonight.

After the bell hits, the two feel each other out before Jericho rams Orton into the corner. The Viper quickly gets on the offensive, working Jericho over in the corner. Orton stays in control, but Y2J hits a dropkick off the ropes and then throws Orton to the outside. He hits a baseball slide next.

On the outside, Orton gets driven into the steps before Chris throws him back into the ring.

Jericho goes to the top rope, but Orton gets a hold of him right in the, well, the nether region. Orton hits a super plex right off the top, goes for the cover, but can only get a two count.

Orton gets Jericho on the outside and starts working him over out there. He gets Jericho in the back of the ring and goes for the cover, but only gets a two count.

Jericho starts to fight back, landing some chops and a shoulder tackle. He goes for the cover, but can only get the two. He gets Orton in the corner and starts stomping away. Out of nowhere, Orton hits the snap power slam, but only gets two on the pin.

Once again Jericho gets the comeback. He hits the Lionsault. He eventually locks in the Walls of Jericho, but Orton gets away. He tosses Jericho into the post to buy some time.

Orton backs up, looking for the punt, he misses and gets rolled up, but only for two. Jericho locks in the Walls. After about almost two minutes, Orton fights out of it. He hits the DDT from the second rope on Jericho. Amazing sequence.

Jericho played possum and hit Orton with the Code Breaker! But, only a two count.

Chris goes to the top rope but gets caught with an RKO! Randy rolls him over and gets the 3.

Winner: Randy Orton
