The Auburn police department is investigating twitter threats to Auburn Tigers’ head coach Gus Malzahn
The Auburn, Alabama police department is investigating a pair of threatening tweets directed at Auburn Tigers head coach Gus Malzahn and Auburn fans as a whole.

The tweets in question surfaced on Monday from bhayes4420. The police are trying to find the owner of the account and to find out of the threats are credible.
One of the tweets states: “I woke up bumbed today bc there are still some Auburn people alive hopefully I can get that C-4 in Jordan Hare to go off.” The other: “the real goal is to be able to chop Gus’s head off on a live YouTube feed ISIS style.”
The original tweets have since been deleted. As you may guess, many Auburn fans were not excited about these tweets, and reacted accordingly:
