This week, the St. Louis Rams welcome the San Francisco 49ers into the Edward Jones Dome. The Rams are coming off a week in which Austin Davis filled garbage time and gave Rams fans false hope as to being a viable quarterback option. The 49ers disposed of Alex Smith and the Kansas City Chiefs.
Both teams will be looking for a big win in the divisional matchup, as it could definitely factor in at the end of the season. Here is how Madden 15 sees the matchup playing out:
San Francisco 49ers (16) St. Louis Rams (9)
Colin Kaepernick 221 yards
Frank Gore 23 carries 82 yards
Michael Crabtree 7 receptions 112 yards
Brian Quick 6 receptions 63 yards
While it took longer than many Rams fans would have liked, Brian Quick has finally emerged on the scene this season. He was heavily scouted coming out of college and was many people’s sleeper draft pick. He has developed a nice rapport with Austin Davis and has made himself on of the only viable options in the Rams offense.
It just wasn’t enough however as the 49ers defense held strong for yet another week. Kaepernick did a solid job of putting San Francisco in a position to win and Michael Crabtree was the biggest beneficiary, accounting for over half of the passing yardage.
Make sure to check back in next week as Madden 15 predicts week 7 matchups.
