There have been a ton of great things to come from Boris Diaw getting to miss training camp and meet his Spurs teammates in Berlin. From bets on his weight to the fantastic picture of Boris with wine there seems to be something new every day.

That trend continued yesterday when we learned that Diaw’s escapades around the European countryside have earned him a new nickname from Manu Ginobili.

"Manu Ginobili, one of Diaw’s better friends on the team, took to calling him “Dora the Explorer” for other photos taken on nature hikes as the team toiled through two-a-days during the opening week of camp. The ribbing continued when Diaw met the team in Berlin.“A little bit, especially the first day I got there,” he said. “Did they still know my name anymore? Did they recognize me? We’ve got a new player in town.”"

While I have always been partial to the Land Walrus nickname for Diaw myself, I have to give Manu credit for this one. It is a nice offering based on Diaw’s summer and really the only way it can get better is if Diaw embraces it and dresses up as Dora for Halloween. Knowing Boris this is entirely a possibility but for now I will just keep enjoying the seemingly daily stories about the Spurs and their resident, lovable punching bag.
